Race condition in the ALSA subsystem in the Linux kernel before 4.13.8 allows local users to cause a denial of service (use-after-free) or possibly have unspecified other impact via crafted /dev/snd/seq ioctl calls, related to sound/core/seq/seq_clientmgr.c and sound/core/seq/seq_ports.c.
CVE-2017-8244 | 1 Google | 1 Android | 2025-04-20 | 6.9 MEDIUM | 7.0 HIGH |
In core_info_read and inst_info_read in all Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, variable "dbg_buf", "dbg_buf->curr" and "dbg_buf->filled_size" could be modified by different threads at the same time, but they are not protected with mutex or locks. Buffer overflow is possible on race conditions. "buffer->curr" itself could also be overwritten, which means that it may point to anywhere of kernel memory (for write).
CVE-2017-6167 | 1 F5 | 10 Big-ip Access Policy Manager, Big-ip Advanced Firewall Manager, Big-ip Analytics and 7 more | 2025-04-20 | 8.5 HIGH | 7.5 HIGH |
In F5 BIG-IP LTM, AAM, AFM, Analytics, APM, ASM, DNS, Link Controller, PEM and WebSafe software version 13.0.0 and 12.1.0 - 12.1.2, race conditions in iControl REST may lead to commands being executed with different privilege levels than expected.
CVE-2017-11353 | 1 Yadm Project | 1 Yadm | 2025-04-20 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
yadm (yet another dotfile manager) 1.10.0 has a race condition (related to the behavior of git commands in setting permissions for new files and directories), which potentially allows access to SSH and PGP keys.
CVE-2017-5061 | 5 Apple, Google, Linux and 2 more | 7 Macos, Chrome, Linux Kernel and 4 more | 2025-04-20 | 2.6 LOW | 5.3 MEDIUM |
A race condition in navigation in Google Chrome prior to 58.0.3029.81 for Linux, Windows, and Mac allowed a remote attacker to spoof the contents of the Omnibox (URL bar) via a crafted HTML page.
CVE-2015-8997 | 1 Google | 1 Android | 2025-04-20 | 7.6 HIGH | 7.0 HIGH |
In TrustZone a time-of-check time-of-use race condition could potentially exist in a listener routine in all Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel.
CVE-2017-17712 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2025-04-20 | 6.9 MEDIUM | 7.0 HIGH |
The raw_sendmsg() function in net/ipv4/raw.c in the Linux kernel through 4.14.6 has a race condition in inet->hdrincl that leads to uninitialized stack pointer usage; this allows a local user to execute code and gain privileges.
CVE-2017-2421 | 1 Apple | 1 Mac Os X | 2025-04-20 | 9.3 HIGH | 7.8 HIGH |
An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. macOS before 10.12.4 is affected. The issue involves the "AppleGraphicsPowerManagement" component. A race condition allows attackers to execute arbitrary code in a privileged context via a crafted app.
CVE-2017-12146 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2025-04-20 | 6.9 MEDIUM | 7.0 HIGH |
The driver_override implementation in drivers/base/platform.c in the Linux kernel before 4.12.1 allows local users to gain privileges by leveraging a race condition between a read operation and a store operation that involve different overrides.
CVE-2017-2533 | 1 Apple | 1 Mac Os X | 2025-04-20 | 7.6 HIGH | 7.0 HIGH |
An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. macOS before 10.12.5 is affected. The issue involves the "DiskArbitration" component. A race condition allows attackers to execute arbitrary code in a privileged context via a crafted app.
CVE-2015-8556 | 1 Qemu | 1 Qemu | 2025-04-20 | 10.0 HIGH | 10.0 CRITICAL |
Local privilege escalation vulnerability in the Gentoo QEMU package before 2.5.0-r1.
CVE-2015-7891 | 1 Samsung | 1 Samsung Mobile | 2025-04-20 | 4.4 MEDIUM | 7.0 HIGH |
Race condition in the ioctl implementation in the Samsung Graphics 2D driver (aka /dev/fimg2d) in Samsung devices with Android L(5.0/5.1) allows local users to trigger memory errors by leveraging definition of g2d_lock and g2d_unlock lock macros as no-ops, aka SVE-2015-4598.
CVE-2017-16857 | 1 Atlassian | 1 Bitbucket Auto Unapprove Plugin | 2025-04-20 | 6.0 MEDIUM | 8.5 HIGH |
It is possible to bypass the bitbucket auto-unapprove plugin via minimal brute-force because it is relying on asynchronous events on the back-end. This allows an attacker to merge any code into unsuspecting repositories. This affects all versions of the auto-unapprove plugin, however since the auto-unapprove plugin is not bundled with Bitbucket Server it does not affect any particular version of Bitbucket.
CVE-2017-1000405 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2025-04-20 | 6.9 MEDIUM | 7.0 HIGH |
The Linux Kernel versions 2.6.38 through 4.14 have a problematic use of pmd_mkdirty() in the touch_pmd() function inside the THP implementation. touch_pmd() can be reached by get_user_pages(). In such case, the pmd will become dirty. This scenario breaks the new can_follow_write_pmd()'s logic - pmd can become dirty without going through a COW cycle. This bug is not as severe as the original "Dirty cow" because an ext4 file (or any other regular file) cannot be mapped using THP. Nevertheless, it does allow us to overwrite read-only huge pages. For example, the zero huge page and sealed shmem files can be overwritten (since their mapping can be populated using THP). Note that after the first write page-fault to the zero page, it will be replaced with a new fresh (and zeroed) thp.
CVE-2014-9936 | 1 Google | 1 Android | 2025-04-20 | 7.6 HIGH | 7.0 HIGH |
