** DISPUTED ** softmmu/physmem.c in QEMU through 7.0.0 can perform an uninitialized read on the translate_fail path, leading to an io_readx or io_writex crash. NOTE: a third party states that the Non-virtualization Use Case in the qemu.org reference applies here, i.e., "Bugs affecting the non-virtualization use case are not considered security bugs at this time."
CVE-2020-36617 1 Greenend 1 Sftpserver 2024-05-17 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
** DISPUTED ** A vulnerability was found in ewxrjk sftpserver. It has been declared as problematic. Affected by this vulnerability is the function sftp_parse_path of the file parse.c. The manipulation leads to uninitialized pointer. The real existence of this vulnerability is still doubted at the moment. The name of the patch is bf4032f34832ee11d79aa60a226cc018e7ec5eed. It is recommended to apply a patch to fix this issue. The identifier VDB-216205 was assigned to this vulnerability. NOTE: In some deployment models this would be a vulnerability. README specifically warns about avoiding such deployment models.
CVE-2021-34999 2024-05-08 N/A 3.8 LOW
OpenBSD Kernel Multicast Routing Uninitialized Memory Information Disclosure Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows local attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations of OpenBSD Kernel. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the implementation of multicast routing. The issue results from the lack of proper initialization of memory prior to accessing it. An attacker can leverage this in conjunction with other vulnerabilities to escalate privileges and execute arbitrary code in the context of the kernel. Was ZDI-CAN-14540.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: do_sys_name_to_handle(): use kzalloc() to fix kernel-infoleak syzbot identified a kernel information leak vulnerability in do_sys_name_to_handle() and issued the following report [1]. CVE-2024-3299 2024-04-04 N/A 7.8 HIGH
Out-Of-Bounds Write, Use of Uninitialized Resource and Use-After-Free vulnerabilities exist in the file reading procedure in eDrawings from Release SOLIDWORKS 2023 through Release SOLIDWORKS 2024. These vulnerabilities could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code while opening a specially crafted SLDDRW or SLDPRT file. NOTE: this vulnerability was SPLIT from CVE-2024-1847.

CVE-2021-22925 7 Apple, Fedoraproject, Haxx and 4 more 27 Mac Os X, Macos, Fedora and 24 more 2024-03-27 5.0 MEDIUM 5.3 MEDIUM
curl supports the `-t` command line option, known as `CURLOPT_TELNETOPTIONS`in libcurl. This rarely used option is used to send variable=content pairs toTELNET servers.Due to flaw in the option parser for sending `NEW_ENV` variables, libcurlcould be made to pass on uninitialized data from a stack based buffer to theserver. Therefore potentially revealing sensitive internal information to theserver using a clear-text network protocol. This could happen because curl did not call and use sscanf() correctly whenparsing the string provided by the application.
CVE-2022-40768 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux 3 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel 2024-03-25 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
drivers/scsi/stex.c in the Linux kernel through 5.19.9 allows local users to obtain sensitive information from kernel memory because stex_queuecommand_lck lacks a memset for the PASSTHRU_CMD case.
CVE-2024-1848 2024-03-22 N/A 7.8 HIGH
Heap-based Buffer Overflow, Memory Corruption, Out-Of-Bounds Read, Out-Of-Bounds Write, Stack-based Buffer Overflow, Type Confusion, Uninitialized Variable, Use-After-Free vulnerabilities exist in the file reading procedure in SOLIDWORKS Desktop on Release SOLIDWORKS 2024. These vulnerabilities could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code while opening a specially crafted CATPART, DWG, DXF, IPT, JT, SAT, SLDDRW, SLDPRT, STL, STP, X_B or X_T file.
CVE-2024-22473 2024-02-22 N/A 6.8 MEDIUM
TRNG is used before initialization by ECDSA signing driver when exiting EM2/EM3 on Virtual Secure Vault (VSE) devices. This defect may allow Signature Spoofing by Key Recreation. This issue affects Gecko SDK through v4.4.0.
CVE-2019-15900 1 Doas Project 1 Doas 2024-02-16 10.0 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
An issue was discovered in slicer69 doas before 6.2 on certain platforms other than OpenBSD. On platforms without strtonum(3), sscanf was used without checking for error cases. Instead, the uninitialized variable errstr was checked and in some cases returned success even if sscanf failed. The result was that, instead of reporting that the supplied username or group name did not exist, it would execute the command as root.
CVE-2008-4197 5 Freebsd, Linux, Microsoft and 2 more 5 Freebsd, Linux Kernel, Windows and 2 more 2024-02-15 9.3 HIGH 8.8 HIGH
Opera before 9.52 on Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, and Solaris, when processing custom shortcut and menu commands, can produce argument strings that contain uninitialized memory, which might allow user-assisted remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or conduct other attacks via vectors related to activation of a shortcut.
CVE-2024-23314 2024-02-14 N/A 7.5 HIGH
When HTTP/2 is configured on BIG-IP or BIG-IP Next SPK systems, undisclosed responses can cause the Traffic Management Microkernel (TMM) to terminate.  Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated
CVE-2008-0063 7 Apple, Canonical, Debian and 4 more 11 Mac Os X, Mac Os X Server, Ubuntu Linux and 8 more 2024-02-09 4.3 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
The Kerberos 4 support in KDC in MIT Kerberos 5 (krb5kdc) does not properly clear the unused portion of a buffer when generating an error message, which might allow remote attackers to obtain sensitive information, aka "Uninitialized stack values."
